This is my first dining chair, I've been thinking about it for about 15 years! I think a chair is probably the most difficult thing to design as it has to look right from every angle and be comfortable, light weight and strong. The back and front rail tenons go through the side rail tenons  the wedges lock the joint tight, this gives the joint great strength where its needed.
The Back rest and seat are made from steam bent oak, the rest is Ash. The chair has been designed to complement my tables and goes well with a splayed leg dining table with arched rails.
